Turnaround Measures

As core investor, Folio Communications has begun technical and management re-engineering and the refocusing of The Daily Times to meet the enormous demands and challenges of news papering in the 21st century. The effort would involve re-branding and re-positioning of the titles in the Daily Times stable as well as introduction of other titles.

Folio has since begun and is instituting the required infrastructure and processes to ensure the newspaper giant is back on the street to the delight of its numerous readers. In spite of the initial distractions and disruption arising mainly from commercial disagreements among the stakeholders, the company finally started the turnaround of The Daily Times, with trial publishing commencing in November 2006.

When The Daily Times fully evolves and peaks, we will do an estimated circulation of 1,000,000 copies daily with a pass on rate of 10 to 1 per paper. This will give a reach of 10,000,000 individuals making it the most widely read publication in sub-saharan Africa.
